Following “Water-Currents” in 2008, the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography presents its second exhibition of the series “The four elements of nature and man” entitled “Earth-Tracks”. The 2009 edition takes the same structure as last year, comprising of a section of photographs from the Prix Pictet 2009 shortlist and another part of works by Greek and international artists who use earth as a means of creation.
The Prix Pictet section presents an abbreviated selection of photos from the twelve shortlisted photographers. This is the first exhibition of the Prix Pictet 2009 Earth world tour. Other venues already confirmed for the tour include: The Empty Quarter Gallery in Dubai and the Eindhoven University of Technology.
