Benoit Aquin wins the Prix Pictet 2008 – 31/10/2008

Speaking at the opening of the Prix Pictet shortlist exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris on 30 October, Kofi Annan, Nobel Laureate and Former Secretary General of the United Nations, announced the winner of the inaugural Prix Pictet as Canadian photographer Benoit Aquin. Water Support Commission – 23/09/2008

Pictet & Cie has announced its support for the Chittagong Hill Tracts Project in Bangladesh, and will commission one of the shortlisted artists to document the scheme. Trophy Unveiled – 17/09/2008

The winner of the Prix Pictet 2008 will be awarded with a specially commissioned trophy. Each year an artist will be invited to create a trophy that responds in some way to the pace where the award will be presented. Designed by London based jewellery designer, Vicki Ambery-Smith, the 2008 trophy is a miniature of the Palais de Tokyo, Paris where the winner will be announced at the end of October. More...
