New Commission Announced
For the third cycle of the Prix Pictet, Pictet & Cie will support the work of the Tusk Trust in Africa. Tusk is responsible for the development of forty different programmes of conservation and sustainable community development in seventeen African countries. To draw attention to the issues that beset the local communities in the Nakuprat Conservancy region, one of the shortlisted photographers will be commissioned to visit Kenya with logistical support from Tusk partners on the ground.
The name of the shortlisted artist who will complete the third Prix Pictet Commission will be announced at the Prix Pictet award ceremony at Passage de Retz, Paris, 17 March 2011.
