Elham M. Zeadat, General Manager and Owner of BLOOM Dead Sea Gift Enterprise. SPECIAL COMMENTS: Mrs Elham Zeadat received a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Jordan University in 1986. She began her career as a natural resources officer at the Ministry of Supply and as a standards engineer at the Institution for Standards & Meteorology. In 1995 she started an independent business, Bloom Dead Sea Gift Enterprise, without family support. She is a highly successful and dynamic businesswoman who in 2002 was winner of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Jordan. Bloom Dead Sea Gift Enterprise specializes in health and beauty products based on a unique combination of more than 25 minerals and trace elements from the best and largest reservoir of minerals in the world, the Dead Sea. Mrs Zeadat began by producing Dead Sea bath salts and facial and body mud masks. Today the company produces 18 different products and exports to more than 30 countries, including the USA. The products can be found in both Wal-Mart and the palace of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan. The round boardroom table was situated in her office. The blue colour of the chairs reflects the packaging colour of the Dead Sea Salt products. She has no special seat at the boardroom table. The Executive Committee consists of 15 people. We drove to her house in a hilly part of Amman, in the Christian area of the city. The dining table had a personal touch, with handmade name cards that she had prepared the evening before with her daughter. The table is sometimes used for family meetings but mostly for holiday or family dinners. She is seated at the head of the dining table at formal dinners. After the photo shoot we were served a wonderful three-course lunch that she had prepared herself which included lemons and prunes sourced from her garden.
