Nominators
The nominators for the Prix Pictet are a group of leading experts in the visual arts from six continents. They lead the search for the series of images that will, in the opinion of the independent jury, have the power and artistic quality demanded by the Prix. The 2009 group of nominators includes directors of major museums and galleries such as the White Cube (London), the Palais de Tokyo (Paris), the Fundación Foto Colectania (Barcelona), Musée de l'Elysée (Lausanne), MOCA China, the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, Hasted Hunt (New York), the Empty Quarter (Dubai), the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, Baibakov Art Projects (Moscow) and the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, as well as leading journalists, curators and critics.
