Chiara Capodici
Chiara Capodici graduated in Contemporary Art History. After earning a Master in Arts and Heritage Management, she worked for FotoGrafia-festival internazionale di Roma-from 2005, and from 2006 to 2008 she was the assistant of the festival artistic director. She curated various photo exhibitions, such as Alex Majoli, Libera Me, Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna, Roma; Giuliano Matteucci, Abitare Conakry, Museo di Roma in Trastevere, Roma; she wrote critical essays and worked on photographic projects for the web and publishing houses. She was exhibition and editorial supervisor for Marco Delogu’s exhibition Noir et Blanc, Villa Medici, 13 October - 30 November 2008.
In January 2009 she founded with Fiorenza Pinna the no-profit organization 3/3_research lab on photographic image_, with the main aim of working indipendently on photography projects and showing in Rome and Italy the most challenging proposals from abroad, whilst diffusing and promoting abroad Italian photography, especially related to young photographers, through hinged and context-related projects.
Up until now, 3/3 has curated and realized projects such as:
Fabio Barile, Diary n°0, exhibition and photobook -in collaboration with Annalisa d'Angelo; collective exhibition Dimensione Massima 10x12 cm -in collaboration with Annalisa d'Angelo and Cameraoscura (both in the circuit of FotoGrafia – festival internazionale di Roma 2009), The Sochi Project in Roma, Marco Lachi, Cape Town – South Africa, exhibition and photobook in Bergamo, Rinko Kawauchi’s intensive workshop and public lecture on photobook construction in May 2010.
