Elie Domit
Elie Domit has been working for over 25 years in the field of photography, both as an active photographer as well as a photo consultant and dealer. He is currently Creative Director of The Empty Quarter Gallery in Dubai. The gallery was founded by photographer Reem Al Faisal, and specialises in modern and contemporary fine art and documentary photography. The gallery opened its doors in March 2009, and has quickly become one of the premier showcases of established and emerging talent in the Arab world. It hosts an innovative series of exhibitions, gallery talks and film programs, book publishings and signings, and other special events. Empty Quarter also participated in public art fairs including Paris Photo 2009 and Art Dubai 2010, and in addition to solo exhibitions the gallery has curated several thematic and historical shows, a number of which will travel to other regions in the Middle East.
