Nadhira Aziz looked on as Iraqi Civil Defence workers dug out the bodies of her sister and niece from her house in the Old City where they were killed by an airstrike in June. By the end of the battle for Iraq’s second largest city, over 9,000 civilians are reported to have been killed and the rebuilding of the city will cost billions of dollars. 16/09/2017
