Dambisa Moyo is a global economist and author who analyzes the macroeconomy and international affairs. She serves on the boards of major global corporations including Barclays Bank, Barrick Gold, SABMiller, and Seagate Technology. Dambisa was named by TIME Magazine as one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World,” and is the author of three NY Times Bestsellers’ Dead Aid: Why Aid is Not Working and How There is a Better Way for Africa; How the West Was Lost: Fifty Years of Economic Folly and the Stark Choices Ahead; and Winner Take All: China’s Race for Resources and what it Means for the World. She holds a PhD in economics at Oxford University, a Masters from Harvard University, a MBA in finance at American University and completed her undergraduate degree in chemistry. She is an avid tennis fan and has run numerous half marathons and marathons. She served as a Patron for ARK – a hedge-fund supported charity and was a member of the Directors Council for the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York.
